New Zealand Comedy Trust presents…
CLASS COMEDIANS GRADUATE SHOWCASE
Start 'em young, we say! This year's Class Comedians got a delicious taste of success at Comedy Fest and are back to unleash more of their hilarious stand-up on stage at Basement Theatre!
If these aspiring teens are anything to go by, the future of New Zealand's comedy scene is in good hands and you can rest assured that your funny bone will continuously be tickled with a great calibre of comedians.
Every year the quality of the material dished out by these teenage performers blows our mind. Pro-comedian’s jaws drop at the talent and material unfolding in front of them.
Class Comedians is a programme run by the New Zealand Comedy Trust that has provided the Auckland comedy circuit with a plethora of home grown comics. Previous graduates include Rose Matafeo, Rhys Mathewson and James Roque.

The Creative Team
The New Zealand Comedy Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organisation - with a focus on championing the art of laughter so that more people laugh more often. For over 20 years, we’ve passionately showcased the most exciting comedians from both New Zealand and throughout the world at the annual NZ International Comedy Festival.
What you may not realise, is our team also works to support the wider comedy industry, with a specific focus on working with comedians to professionally develop their skills, network and establish themselves a career in comedy. We’ve created a range of professional development programmes to help achieve this, including the Billy T Award, Class Comedians, The Fred Award, Comedy Lab and Creative Comedy Project Grant.
